There are three Queensland campuses of the University of Southern Queensland at Springfield, Toowoomba and Fraser Coast. The Toowoomba campus is only 90 minutes from Brisbane and is the largest of the three, offering on-campus accommodation for 450 students. There are now more than 7, 400 international students studying at USQ from over 120 different countries.

Being the first Australian University established outside a capital city, the University of New England became independent from the University of Sydney in 1954, and has campuses located across 260 hectares in the New South Wales town of Armidale. Popular programmes within the four faculties are linguistics, educational administration and geology. Agricultural economics and rural science are also programmes which relate to the region in which the University is located.
There are eight residences for students offering supportive communities in which to study, live and work whilst in Armidale. The University of New England houses Zoology and Antiquities Museums, clinics, laboratories and research centres. Armidale is situated north of Sydney, half way towards Brisbane with a population of 25,000. There are many activities within the township and outdoor entertainment within close reach, including bushwalking, fishing and swimming.

The main campus of La Trobe University
in Melbourne (Bundoora) is situated in spacious parkland and

medical services. LaTrobe University has another five campuses

University of Technology |
With 22,000 students
on campus and offshore, Swinburne University of Technology is
a medium-sized institution offering a vast array of programmes
from its six faculties. Between the faculties of Business and
Enterprise; Design; Engineering and Industrial Sciences; Higher
Education; Information and Communication Technologies and the
faculty of Life and Social Sciences, there is a course available
for almost anyone.
Because Swinburne offers courses in both the higher education

As one of Australia’s largest and most respected Universities, Monash University houses 10 different faculties, offering a multitude of programmes. Australia’s oldest and one of the top four most recognised Universities is the University of Melbourne. There are around 15 residential colleges housing thousands of current students from Victoria, Australia and around the world. Not to mention the local students from Melbourne attending daily tuition at this “Group of Eight’ collegial university.
Older than most Universities in the UK, the University of Melbourne was founded in 1853 and has its base just north of the Melbourne CBD. Graduate attributes include ‘academic excellence,’ ‘leaders of the community’ and being an ‘active global citizen.’ These attributes are evident in the University of Melbourne’s ranking of 22 in the world, by the Times Higher Education Supplement, UK.

With five campuses across Victoria and two of those in Melbourne, Deakin University has proudly won the Australian “University of the Year Award” twice. The Burwood campus teaches 12,000 students in a surrounding filled with modern architecture and facilities. The landscaped gardens of the Toorak campus are the home of the Deakin Business School and the Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT).
Deakin specialises in many areas across the Faculties of Arts, Education, Business & Law, Health, Medicine, Nursing & Behavioural Sciences and Science & Technology. There are many programmes to choose from for the more than 34,000 students studying at Deakin, with approximately 7,000 of these students being international.

The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) offers its students a wealth of experience in education dating back to 1887. Programmes from certificates and diplomas to degrees and doctorates are offered via TAFE and higher education formats. There are three campuses in Victoria; Melbourne City, Bundoora and Brunswick. There are also two campuses in Vietnam; one in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Hanoi.
RMIT University’s 9,500 international and 50,000 local students learn from an environment with strong links to most business and industry fields. Academic staff are committed to research excellence, displayed in their mentoring of students and strong focus on job ready skills. Dating back to 1870, the University of Ballarat has come a long way since becoming the third established educational institute in Australia. There are 11 campuses of Victoria University, housing the three Faculties of Business & Law, Health, Engineering & Science and Arts, Education & Human Development. Within these faculties lie several schools and as many as 700 different programmes. Apart from higher education, Victoria University also offers many TAFE (Technical and Further Education) programmes, so students are able to apply for certificates and diplomas and work their way up, if they do not meet an undergraduate degree entry requirement.
The university prides itself on having strong community ties, which for its 44,000 students from Australia and around the world, can be very beneficial in building networks and increasing employment prospects. Students who study at William Angliss Institute find that their education is not only academically rewarding but also provides the practical skills and experience to assist students to become job-ready employees. Arguably one of Australia’s most respected universities, Australian National University is consistently ranked highly amongst competing universities overseas. Of the five campuses, the main location occupies 145 hectares neighbouring Canberra City. Within the seven colleges of ANU, areas of study such as law, enabling sciences, engineering and computer sciences amongst many others, are taught on the sprawling green campuses. Australian Catholic University is one of the nation’s youngest Universities, having formed officially in 1991; however its roots date back 150 years. With campuses in Melbourne, Ballarat, Canberra, Brisbane and two in Sydney, ACU is a truly national university committed to providing an excellent higher education experience for all.
Whilst there are similar programme offerings in each campus, they all provide a few unique programmes.
